How to contribute

Code, a bug report or an idea: all of it helps. Rice is written in TypeScript, with Electron and small native helpers in Swift and C++, and the app speaks English and Portuguese.

  1. Open an issue

Describe the bug or the idea, with your system and the version of Rice. For a large change, an issue first saves work on both sides.

  2. Make the change

Fork the repository and work on a branch. Before sending, run npm run typecheck and npm test. If the change adds text to the app, write it in both languages.

  3. Send a pull request

Say what changed and how you tested it. Every pull request runs the typecheck, the tests and the build on macOS and on Windows, and gets a review and an answer.
